If you would like to embed coordinates within your snippet text, please follow these simple steps: Click on the ‘Coordinates’ toolbar button located in the upper right-hand corner of your writing window.
Enter your latitude and longitude values into the respective fields (e.g., 40°N 73°W). Once finished, click on ‘OK’. Your coordinates will now be displayed within your text as small blue dots (see image below).
To turn off Coordinates viewing, simply select the “No Coords” checkbox from within editing mode (see image below), or press CTRL+K/CMD+K when cursor is inside a coordinate field.
If you want to show coordinates, turn off the “Coordinate Display” box on your map. Coordinates can also be turned off by going into Preferences > Map and unchecking the “Show Coordinates” checkbox.
To get coordinates of other players on the map, you can use the “coords” command. Coordinates will automatically disappear after 10 minutes if not viewed again.
Players may find the coordinates they need to continue playing after death on the F3 menu. After pressing the space bar, players will see a screen with their current coordinates and an “X” in the bottom right corner.
If needed, players can write down their coordinates and backtrack if needed.
If you’re using the F3 menu while playing in Java Edition, coordinates will remain onscreen after death screen appears. This can be useful to write down coordinates and backtrack.
If you open the F3 menu after dying in Java Edition, your coordinates will remain on-screen. If you need to write down the coordinates and backtrack if needed, this is a great tool.
